Uses For A Martini Glass
Martinis are a versatile and fun drink. I know when I run out of beer but still want a drink I can always fall back on a martini. My favorite Martini drink is the Lemon drop, but if I am out of lemons I will usually opt for a dirty martini. If I am out of olive juice then I usually have a vodka martini straight up. If I am out of Vodka, then it is time for bed.
In spite of martinis being a great fall back drink. The glasses are just as useful. They can be used for decorating and table center pieces. They even look cool just sitting on the counter or in that glass doored cupboard.
If you are having an adult Birthday party and you want to create a festive center piece for your table, you can use the martini glass. It doesn’t matter whether you are actually serving alcohol or not you just want to create a festive look.
Take 3 martini glasses and fill them with colored birthday confetti. Then sprinkle additional confetti on the table. You can also place tiny wrapped packages near the stems of the glasses on the confetti. Then take some very small wrapped square packages and stick them on a toothpick and place into the confetti filled martini glass as a garnish.
This makes a very festive birthday table center piece. You can also create similar variations for Christmas parties, and Halloween parties or whatever event you are having.
Another great use of the martini glass is for serving desserts. A martini glass filled with cool lime jello and garnished with a maraschino cherry looks like an appletini, but is actually a cool low call desert. Chocolate pudding topped with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles topped garnished with a piece of Dove chocolate also makes a great dessert display. And it is oh so delicious.
Fruit cocktail or melon balls also look great in a large clear martini glass. Just remember to have a suitable garnish on a toothpick or cocktail sword such as a strawberry, cherry, or piece of chocolate. You can use your imagination and let your creative juices go wild. How To Throw A Martini Party
Throwing a party is something most of us scratch our heads over. All the planning just makes even the best of us feel insecure about our personal ideas. Why wouldn’t that be the case when what’s at stake is our social reputation? Throwing a bad party is just as memorable as throwing a good one. People will not forget a good event and likewise, people will not forget a disaster.
If throwing an ordinary party is hard, then arranging a martini party could be much worse. A martini party is just not a party. It is THE party. It is the epitome of cosmopolitan sophistication.
If you throw a martini party, the event could turn into either of these two things: (a) it could be an affair that will elevate your hosting status and grant you membership to the ultra-exclusive “sophisticated partiers’ club” or (b) it could make you look like you are trying too hard to fit in.
The perfect martini party should be grand without being over-the-top, hip without being pretentious and fashionable without losing its classic touch.
But how, you ask, could I throw a martini party that satisfies all the above-mentioned conditions without losing my sanity?
Do not panic just yet. The perfect martini party is not an unattainable thing. Believe it or not, it is actually possible.
First, to make things more exciting and unique, you must decide on a theme. You may go for the good ‘ol Old Hollywood theme where martinis simply fit in like Cinderella’s foot in the glass shoe. Actually, any theme idea is good, but be sure to tailor it specifically to suit the martini. Create a classic twist for whatever party theme you would decide on.
Second, make an inventory of your available bartending materials. If you only have plastic liquid vessels, then you must run out and get some real martini glasses. Plastic cups are for beer in college frat parties. Glasses are for cocktails in adult gatherings. You ARE an adult, right? Also, do not forget shakers and other barware like tongs, shot glasses, ice buckets, jiggers and Hawthorne strainers.
Third, be flexible and fun. Never assume that all party-goers prefer the classic martini mix of gin and vermouth. Some prefer vodka martinis, while some like sweeter martinis. So stock up on flavored vodka and other ingredients like fruit juices to create unique martini twists. Also, do not forget to give your guests a wide range of garnishes to choose from.
Fourth, set the mood for the party. A good party is not all about the personal “hipness” of your guests (although that is a factor) or the amount of money you spend on the actual party. Ambiance plays a big part in a party’s success. You may want to dim the lights and play some jazzy tunes. The mood can make or break the party. Take note of that.
Finally, relax and enjoy. Do not spend the whole night worrying about martini mixes and other party supplies. Make sure you get all details ironed out before the party begins. Go around, talk, laugh, flirt, catch up on old friends and make new ones.
This is your perfect martini party. Enjoy it.

The Modern Martini Glass
The Martini is the classic cocktail party drink. The cool factor of the Martini cannot be denied from the classic shaken not stirred, James Bond Martini, to the much missed 3 Martini lunch of the 1960’s. Nothing says hip like holding a Martini in your hand.
What makes the Martini so cool? Well, it’s the glass. That’s why at Best Martini Glass we want to help you find the best Martini Glass for your cocktail party or Perfect Martini creation.
The original clear long stemmed Classic Martini Glass is, well, still a classic. But now there are so many new variations, that you can find one to fit any taste and style. From etched glass, to colored stems.
One of my favorite Martini Glass stores is Swank. They have the colorful Mardi Gras Martini Glasses. The sexy Ember Martini Glass. The colorful Calypso Glass, and the Cosmopolitan Swerve Martini Glass with a curved stem.
A Huge selection of giant over sized Martini Glasses, and my personal favorite the stem less Martini Glass. The stem less Martini Glass just like the new stem less wine glasses are becoming the newest most popular glasses. If you have ever had a 3 Martini Lunch or staggered around a cocktail party then you will know why.
Another cool glass featured at Swank is the Chillin Martini Glass. One of the things that makes the Martini drinkable is the chilled Alcohol. That is the whole purpose of shaking or stirring the ingredients with ice. If shaken too vigorously, small pieces of ice can break off into the drink diluting the Alcohol. That is why James Bond prefers his drink stirred and not shaken.
The Chillen Glass will afford you the opportunity to keep your gently stirred Martini cold without having to chug it. It is a two part masterpiece that consists of a glass fish bowl that is to be filled with ice. Then your Martini is poured into a stem less Martini Glass that fits inside and on top of the bowl of ice. The result, a perfectly chilled Martini that you can sip, while finishing that long conversation, and remain coherent.
No matter what your Martini Glass needs are, we hope to help you find the perfect glass for your next soiree.
